Lynda Best Retires

Lynda Best Retires

20 Years
January 1, 2016

Customer Service Supervisor Lynda Best recently retired after 20 years of service with GUC. Lynda joined GUC in 1996, and served as one of our original six Call Center Representatives when the Call Center was first established in 1997. Before stepping into her final role, Lynda also served as Call Center Leader for several years.

As the Customer Service Supervisor, Lynda was in charge of the daily operations of the Receptionists and Customer Contact Representatives (CCRs). These employees are often a customer's first contact with GUC, either in person or on the phone. They help our customers in one of three locations — the first floor of the Main Office, GUC Express, or the Call Center on the third floor of the Main Office.

"I'm so thankful for having the opportunity to work at GUC with so many gifted and talented people," said Lynda. "My GUC family will not be forgotten."

Lynda was born in Washingon, NC moved to Connecticut when she was 13. Ironically, Lynda's husband, Jeffrey, is from Greenville. They met while he was vacationing in Connecticut. They have now been married (and living in Greenville) for 21 years. Between the two of them, they have four grown children and three grandchildren.

In her retirement, Lynda plans to do more travelling to visit family, as they are scattered between here, South Carolina, Charlotte, Alabama, and Connecticut. She also hopes to go on her dream vacation to Hawaii.

Congrats on your retirement, Lynda, and good luck on getting that dream vacation!
