While most people are slowing down to enjoy the relaxing days of summer, we remain busy at Greenville Utilities. We have a lot going on that enhances the services we provide to customers and our community.

There's the upcoming launch of our new customer-facing systems (Customer Care & Billing and Mobile Workforce Management to name a few), and capital projects gearing up and wrapping up (like the impoundment cleanout at the Water Treatment Plant, story on page 6). These are just a few of the most recent examples, and we have many more projects coming down the pipeline.

During the last few Board of Commissioners meetings, we also announced several employee and departmental accomplishments and awards. This issue of Spotlight highlights some of these accomplishments, like the Lineman Rodeo wins (page 8) and state-wide safety awards (page 9).

I mention all of this because the high quality of work and care that you put into your work at Greenville Utilities shows in the success of our improvement projects and the recognitions that we receive. Let's continue to keep our focus throughout these busy months on our solid dedication to the customers we serve, right here in our own community.
