2016 Christmas Parade

2016 Christmas Parade

December 13, 2016

We continued our tradition of participating in the Greenville Jaycee's Christmas Parade on December 10th. This year was a first for Greenville — it was held at night, so the parade was filled with festive, twinkling lights. To top it off, GUC came in second place for best commercial float!

Special thanks to Electric Department employees Jason Gaskins, Nick Gibson, and Mark Howery for decorating the bucket truck and float. They both looked great! Chad Hines drove the truck this year, while his wife, Danielle, and their children, Caleb and Haley, rode on the float. Thanks also to Lineworker David Bunch who operated a bucket truck for local media to get an overview of the parade.

Many employees and family members shared their holiday joy on our float this year: Keith, Jennifer, and Joshua Godbey; Scott, Nicole, and Rowan Jablonski; Lena, Steve, Dora, and Greta Previll; Jay, Stacey, Addison, and Hunter Pigford; Travis, Ashlee, and Emilee Lancaster; Jarrett and Taylor McGalliard; Shannon Oakley, Karleigh Chamberlain, and Makayla Horton; Colleen, James, and Bridget Sicley; and Jennifer and Sadie Harrington. Thanks for making us look good!
