Bobby Adams - 25 Years

Bobby Adams, Underground Electric Crew Leader, celebrated 25 years of service with Greenville Utilities. Bobby began his career with GUC as a Tree Trimmer Helper. He was later promoted to Tree Trimmer, Underground Lineman III, and then Underground Lineman II. Bobby was promoted to his current position in 2007 and leads a crew of two. They work with the installation and troubleshooting of underground electric residential service lines. "I really enjoy the camaraderie with my co-workers and being able to work outside," said Bobby. He and his wife, Mary, have been married for 19 years and enjoy using their Pirate Club membership to attend ECU baseball and football games. He also enjoys fishing, mostly for trout and flounder.

Mark Clark called to commend Meter Technician Tony Jordan on his patience and professionalism with an issue at one of Mr. Clark's rental properties.

Lisa Bray called to thank Gas Systems Crew Leader David Telfair on his excellent customer service when reconnecting her gas service. "David was very helpful and super nice," she said. "He went over and beyond his duties in making sure everything was working properly."

Linda Brewer called to commend Customer Contact Representative Nathan Johnson for his help regarding a situation she had never experienced before. Ms. Brewer said Nathan was "very patient, very helpful, good humored, and easy to work with."

John Brooks called to compliment Senior Gas Worker Tony Richards on his outstanding job in identifying and tagging three customer-side gas leaks at his residence. "Tony was awesome and very thorough," he said. "I felt much safer after Tony completed his visit."

Mrs. Cullipher called to compliment Gas Systems Crew Leader William Morning and Gas Service Worker Senior Melvin Foreman. "They provided good customer service during my gas reconnect appointment and left my yard in great shape after installing a new device," she said.
