The wellness program at Greenville Utilities and the City of Greenville was recently selected as the Cigna Carolina's 2017 Well-Being Award recipient. According to Cigna, applications with vigorous wellness initiatives and programs were received by the Carolina's.

"Our national Well-Being Award Task Force chose the City of Greenville and GUC wellness program for its commitment to building a culture of well-being," said Cigna's Senior Account Manager Amanda Dickhoff. Criteria for the award focus on six different areas including leadership, policy/environment, program implementation, data collection, participation and engagement, and incentives.

"GUC and the City offer easily accessible programs for all employees, while encompassing strong leadership support and visibility with incentives to make sustained lifestyle behavior changes," said Ms. Dickhoff.

Part of the award includes $1,000 to put into our Health Improvement Fund to help with future wellness initiatives and campaigns. Our program will also be highlighted in Cigna's 2017 National Well-Being Award case study with other markets' overall recipients.
