Accomplishments

Communications Specialist Karin Fullington recently obtained her Master of Arts degree in Technology & Communications from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill's School of Media and Journalism. Karen completed nine courses over two years and then spent the final semester working one-on-one with faculty on a comprehensive project and thesis. Congratulations, Karin!

Our condolences go to Systems Dispatcher George Darden on the loss of his grandfather, William J. Tripp.
Our sympathies are extended to Assistant Director of Customer Relations Scott Mullis on the loss of his father, Robert Mullis.
Our condolences also go to the family of retiree John Sharpe who recently passed away. While at GUC, Mr. Sharpe worked in the Stores Warehouse.
Our sympathies are also extended to Customer Contact Representative Tee Taylor on the recent loss of her father, James Ruffin Taylor Jr.

 

Thank You's

Dan Thomas with the Construction Management program at ECU wrote to thank Jim Rapin in our Energy Services section. Jim recently did presentations for two of Dan's classes. One was on thermal envelope and the other about GUC's E-300 program. Our E-300 program has promoted energy efficient construction for more than 30 years and is one of the longest running program of its kind in the nation.

Customer Contact Representative II Tonya Roebuck received the highest rating possible from a customer on our "How Are We Doing" comment cards. The customer also said that Tonya was "super sweet, extra nice. The best!"

Michele Connors complimented Senior Gas Service Worker John Sheppard on Twitter. "Great service," she tweeted.

Latisha Pryor gave Customer Contact Representative I Cindy Burke the highest marks on our "How Are We Doing" feedback cards. "Cindy was amazing and courteous," she wrote. "She called me and emailed me with corrections I needed. Love her."
