Customer Care & Billing Upgrade Project Kickoff
Our Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) system that was launched in July 2016 is due for an upgrade to the most recent version, Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS). Moving to what’s called “next gen software” in the cloud is a big project involving a lot of GUC employees working closely with vendors. The kickoff for this project took place in October and will take approximately 14 months.
“This is not a Customer Relations or Information Technology project, this is a GUC project, which is why you see so many employees here today,” said Assistant General Manager / Chief Administrative Officer Chris Padgett during the kickoff meeting. “This is our main system for supporting customers. We must get it right.”
We will share much more about this project in the coming months, including which employees are at the helm and how this project will better enable GUC to continue providing exceptional customer service.
