Inside HR: Supervisor’s Toolkit
Our Human Resources team has relaunched Supervisor’s Toolkit sessions this year. This training program provides valuable insight for new leaders and serves as a refresher to seasoned leaders. While attendance at the Supervisor’s Toolkit sessions is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged for leaders at all levels (Crew Leaders to Directors) to attend.
During the first three months of this year, the focus of the Supervisor’s Toolkit is Meaningful Feedback. There are three parts to the series, and the sessions build on one another.
“In January, we focused on reviewing the Situational Leadership model and shared the ‘Taking Charge’ process for individual contributors who are not in supervisory roles,” said Carrie Peed, Organizational Development and Training Manager. “The feedback that was shared demonstrates the value of the process. Many leaders shared how they are using Situational Leadership in day-to-day activities. Through these conversations, the overarching theme was that it not only helps with their coworkers but is also a useful tool when communicating with customers and contractors in the field.”
Supervisor’s Toolkit sessions are available for enrollment through Learn and are searchable by each session’s title. Please see your Department Admin to request enrollment in a session. All sessions will take place in the Training Room, Systems Support Building.
