Cityworks & CCS Project Updates
Cityworks & CCS Project Updates
Cityworks
The project to replace Oracle’s Work & Asset Management and Mobile Workforce Management systems with Cityworks moved into a new phase or “Task Order” (TO) in mid-August, with the Electric Department kicking off TO-05.
The Electric Core Team, their leadership, and IT staff participated in the Cityworks kickoff presentation and discussions around how their work processes can be integrated with the new system. The Core Team and IT have since begun work on baseline system configurations and getting assets entered and displayed on the GIS systems for Cityworks.
The Core Team for Electric is Lee Ausbon, Jamie Braxton, Jason Gaskins, Mike McGowan, Wendy Rogers, and Jeffery Williams.
Customer Cloud Service
The project to upgrade our Customer Care & Billing software (CC&B) to cloud-based Customer Cloud Service (CCS) is also moving along well. CCS will have to integrate with Cityworks, so the groups working on each project have also been working together to ensure the integration goes smoothly. The CCS project Core Team is wrapping up testing and the integration with Cityworks and other systems.
Training classes for CCS are in the process of being developed. Appointments will be sent for training that should begin soon. The training is built around the differences between CCB and CCS and should give employees a solid frame of reference for how to perform their daily CCS activities.
