Rebecca Harrison / 25 Years
Rebecca Harrison, Customer Relations Support Analyst III, recently celebrated 25 years of service with Greenville Utilities. Until recently, she was a member of the Credit Section of Customer Relations that administers GUC’s credit policies and procedures. Rebecca helped protect the assets of GUC while also providing temporary relief to customers during personal emergency situations that can cause hardships. Over the past year, she made a transition to the Support Analyst role where she continues some of her previous credit functions and manages the budget billing program.What I have enjoyed the most about working at GUC is helping our customers,” said Rebecca.

Accomplishments

Congratulations to the following Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) employees on obtaining certifications from the NC Water Treatment Facility Operators Certification Board: Operators I Jason Harmon and Damien Bradshaw received the Biological I Certification; Maintenance Mechanic I Grey Elliot received the Collections I Operator Certification; Operator III Kyle Meeks received the Collections II Operator Certification; Maintenance Crew Leader Ronald Miller received the Collections III Operator Certification. To obtain these certifications, employees attend certification schools where they study and are tested on a variety of topics including pumps, instrumentation, bacteriology, iron and manganese removal, corrosion control, lab procedures, disinfection, and more.

Congratulations to Dylan Moore, WWTP Maintenance Mechanic II, on the birth of his son, Rhett Thomas Moore. 

Condolences 

Condolences to the family of retiree Clellie “Buzz” Smart, who recently passed away. Buzz was an Engineer in the Water Resources Department.

We extend our condolences to the family of Brian Murray, a retired Equipment Operator of the Water Resources Department, who recently passed away.

We send our condolences to WWTP Operation Crew Leader Bryon Orr for the passing of his mother-in-law, Sheena Evertt Riggs.

We also extend our sympathies to WWTP Electrician Tech III Tony Rogers for the death of his father-in-law, William H. Dove.

Our condolences to General Manager/CEO Tony Cannon on the recent passing of his mother-in-law, Barbara Cowart.
