Every few years, we gather current and former Commissioners together for dinner. The event is to show our appreciation for their service and update them on several past, current, and upcoming projects. Many of them had a hand in funding several of the projects discussed, so it’s a nice opportunity for them to see their work coming to fruition. 

This year’s event was held on October 1st with topics ranging from the expansion of the Liquified Natural Gas, Water, and Wastewater Treatment Plants to the upcoming Community Solar project. Commissioners also got an update on the mutual aid crews sent to western NC and the costs of the state’s clean energy plan.
