ECU Women in Technology 
On September 26th, Taylor Miller with IT spoke to Dr. Page Varnell’s Women in Technology class at ECU’s College of Engineering and Technology. She shared her experience of working in the information technology field for GUC.  

Education & Career Fairs 
Thank you to the following employees for assisting with career fairs in September: 

Teresa Sutton and Juanita Sims with HR represented Greenville Utilities at NC A&T’s Career Awareness Fair on September 11th.  

Teresa Sutton and Aracely Smith with HR attended the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Education Network Reception for teachers at ECU’s Harvey Hall on September 19th.  

Teresa Sutton, Aracely Smith and Tracy Williams with HR attended the Elizabeth City State University Fall Career Fair on September 24th. 

Nick Klapp (IT) along with Leah Herring, Teresa Sutton, and Juanita Sims with HR met with students the morning of September 25th during ECU’s Science, Engineering & Technology Fair. 

Andy Anderson (IT), Carl Smith (Gas), and Tracy Williams, Cort Bazemore, and Lena Previll with HR represented GUC the afternoon of the September 25th at ECU’s Fall Job & Internship Fair.  

ECU Kid’s Zone 
As part of our “Powering the Pirates” partnership with ECU Athletics, GUC is a sponsor of the Kids Zone at ECU home football games. The Kids Zone is an area inside the stadium, close to Gate 2, where children can play various games. Public Information staffs a table in the Zone, handing out GUC-branded giveaways and talking with people about our organization. Thank you to Brad Burroughs with Electric and Steve Hawley with Public Information for representing us during the September games. Be sure to stop by our table in the Kids' Zone as the season continues!
