Deck the Halls Winners Announced
Deck the Halls Winners Announced
Every participating team and individual came into this competition with creativity, flair for the dramatic, a sense of humor, and boat loads of holiday cheer.
With that being said, there can only be one winner in each category, and here they are:
JUDGES’ CHOICE:
- Best Theme: IT
IT’s theme was a whodunit of epic proportions. This interactive theme reeled judges in with clues that would lead to solving the crime of “who really ate the gingerbread family?” With incredible attention to detail and clues that left you cheerfully riddled, there is nothing left to be said but well done. Their mastery of audience interaction was unmatched this year.
- Best GUC Theme: Water Resources Engineering & Water Systems
Nothing says GUC like the WR Engineering & Water Systems design this year. With the Grinch perched atop a toilet and a vacuum truck with moving parts declaring the abomination of wipes, this GUC theme clearly showed how not to ruin the water system with “unSeusable” materials. Congratulations to WR Engineering & Water Resources!
- Best Christmas Tree: Water Resouces Engineering & Water Systems
WR Engineering & Water Systems won this category, too. It was the Christmas tree that was suspended from the wall, above clear pipe and rotating signs. Well done!
PEOPLE’S CHOICE (MOST GUC EMPLOYEES):
- Customer Relations
When asked what employees prefer, they chose the Customer Relations Christmas Wonderland. The entire Call Center was decked out in peppermints, candy canes, balloon arches, and huge ornaments. What an incredible feat of decoration and creativity to bring a little bit of the North Pole to GUC!
MOST COMMUNITY VOTES (via FACEBOOK):
- Customer Relations
The community spoke, and it was very clear. Customer Relations swept the popular community vote with their spectacular display of cheer and creativity. Congratulations Customer Relations!
