Lou Norris UWPC Leadership Award
Secretary to the General Manager Lou Norris was recently recognized for her years of dedicated service and outstanding leadership on the United Way of Pitt County’s (UWPC) Board during the UWPC annual membership meeting. She served as the 2024-2025 Board Chair.
Fan Donation Tradition Continues
Greenville Utilities helped provide relief from the heat for local residents by purchasing 100 fans for those in need. For more than 25 years, GUC has provided fans to be distributed to the elderly, handicapped, and qualifying families with small children.
GUC Jonathan Sergeant (Energy Services) and Scott Mullis (Customer Relations) delivered fans to the Pitt County Council on Aging and the Greenville Housing Authority on June 18th.
The fans will be available for distribution to the public through those agencies.
Chamber Leadership
IT Support Specialist Supervisor Nick Klapp and Facilities Engineer II Vincent Malvarosa recently graduated from the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute. Over the course of eight months, they learned about issues facing our community, developed skills needed to enhance leadership strengths, and learned how to become involved in leadership roles in our community.
