Operation Santa Claus is underway at several locations within Greenville Utilities.
GUC works in partnership with Greenville Fire and Rescue and other Pitt County agencies to collect toys for children in Pitt County who may not have the opportunity to have Santa visit their homes over the holiday.
“GUC has been a partner with the Pitt County Operation Santa Claus Toy Drive and collected toys for years, and it has been a tradition here at GUC since before I began working here,” said Secretary to the General Manager Lou Norris. “It is a wonderful experience each year seeing coworkers fill the boxes with toys. It is so heartwarming to know that our gifts will be a blessing to children right here in Pitt County who may not otherwise receive a gift.”
You may bring a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 12 and under to one of several GUC drop-off locations: Main Office, first floor teller area; Engineering and Operations Building, main entrance lobby; Water Treatment Plant; Wastewater Treatment Plant; Express Office; Human Resources at Red Banks; and Materials Management (Stores).
Donations will be accepted until Friday, December 5th.
