GUC employees enrolled in Cigna Healthcare now have access to a new mental health mobile app and website offering that helps members stress less, sleep better, and feel more present every day.
Headspace for Cigna Healthcare is a mobile app and website with hundreds of guided exercises for sleep, focus, stress, and movement. Employees on our healthcare plan get free, full access to the Headspace app and website, including personalized content for stress and burnout.
Whether you’re looking to manage stress in the moment or build healthier habits over time, Headspace is a tool that can help support your mental well-being, whenever you need it.
Headspace also hosts monthly live meditations and quarterly workshops led by clinicians and meditation experts.
“I enjoy the Headspace Essentials ‘Focus Music’ section with featured playlists from artists, and ‘Soundscapes’ that include amazing nature soundtracks that last 45 to 480 minutes,” said HR Business Partner Cort Bazemore.
Organizational Development and Training Manager Carrie Peed said she’s been trying out the meditations part of the app to help rebuild that practice. “I did a 15-minute meditation sitting in my backyard one afternoon
and it was lovely!” She has also tried the stories to help her get to sleep. “I fall asleep to those or the nature sounds. I love that you can pick from different voices.”
Simply login to your Cigna account at my.cigna.com to access Headspace. You will eventually be directed to download the Headspace mobile app. When the app prompts you to enter your organization, use “Cigna Healthcare.”
