Elementary & Middle Schools
On May 8th, Aracely Smith (HR) and Savanna Hardee (Water Resources) shared GUC career information at Northwest Elementary’s 3rd to 5th grade STEM Career Fair.
On May 19th, Leah Herring (HR) represented GUC at Stokes School’s 6th to 8th grade College and Career Fair.
High School
On May 4th, Tracy Williams (HR), Cort Bazemore (HR), Danesha Williams (Customer Relations), David McDaniel (Finance), and Adam McDonald (Water Resources) represented GUC at Kinston High School’s career fair.
Emily Camacho (Customer Relations), Cody Adams (Gas), and Zach Huggins (Water Resources) represented GUC at South Lenoir High School’s career fair on May 5th.
And on May 6th, Cort Bazemore (HR), Renee Gibson (Customer Relations), Qashawn Hudgins (WTP), and Isaac Hodges (Water Resources) were on hand sharing information at North Lenoir High School’s career fair.
Pitt County Council on Aging
Jonathan Sergeant and Lee Eakes (Energy Services) shared spring and summer energy savings tips with seniors on May 12th at the Pitt County Council on Aging.
Chamber Leadership
Right of Way Officer Doug Askew and Gas Distribution Engineer Dillon Wade graduated in May from the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute. Over the course of eight months, they learned about issues facing our community, developed skills needed to enhance leadership strengths, and learned how to become involved in leadership roles in our community.
