On July 17th, Jonathan Sergeant and Lee Eakes (Energy Services) spent the afternoon with the Tabernacle Center of Deliverance providing energy savings tips and answering questions.
Career Exploration Fair
Stella Harris, Emma Feehan, and Aracely Smith (HR) attended Pitt Community College’s Career Exploration Fair on July 22nd. This event is designed to provide rising high school seniors with a chance to see what local employment opportunities are available after graduation.
PCC Electrical Academy Tour
Juanita Sims and Lena Previll (HR), Jacob Swink, Nick Peaden, and Lee Ausbon (Electric), Julius Patrick, Ryan Gregory, Chad Flanagan, Brian Shannon, and Wade Corbitt (Water) provided tours of the 230 West Electric Substation and the Water Treatment Plant to Pitt Community College’s Summer Electrical Academy on July 24th.
Employer Engagement Event/Speed Interviews
Aracely Smith, Stella Harris, and Tracy Williams (HR) attended Pitt Community College’s Employer Engagement and Speed Interview event on July 31st. This event is aimed at helping college students engage with employers in the area along with helping them build their interviewing skills.
