GUC has earned five Public Power Awards of Excellence from ElectriCities of North Carolina.
“These awards are a great reflection of the commitment of our employees,” said General Manager / CEO Tony Cannon, “but also a recognition of the GUC Board of Commissioners’ forward thinking and dedication to serving our customers and our community.”
Roy Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Electricities, congratulated GUC and the Board of Commissioners during the September meeting and highlighted GUC’s work within the community and public power space.
“We look across the membership and across those strategic priorities and who is truly the leaders and who is moving the ball and advancing things within their communities, and every year, year after year, you all are at the top of the list time and time again,” Roy said.
