I came to a stop at the light at the intersection of Kathleen Road and Duff Road today in Kathleen, Florida, near Lakeland.  I saw the beautiful sight of a line of your trucks turning south onto Kathleen. My heart overflowed with gratitude for all that you and your linemen have done for us and our community and across our state. You don't get to know all the individual stories. My husband is a quadriplegic who cannot regulate his own temperature. Air conditioning is critical for us. I can live without my internet and a whole lot of other things, but I can't stand for my husband to suffer. I also live with my 88-year-old father who just isn't up to all the challenges anymore. So, from this one person representing three, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming down and helping us. My husband says to tell you, "Me, too. Me too!"

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for sending linemen and crews to Lakeland, FL. My sister-in-law lives off Ward Road, one of the hardest hit areas locally. She was without power for a week. While she was fortunate and able to stay with us (we only lost power for less than 24 hours) she is very grateful for seeing the trucks from Greenville in her neighborhood day after day. We know these guys put in hours upon end but always showed up with a smile and a wave from their trucks. They have been away from their families and have seen much devastation in our town. We truly appreciate all they do. Again, I just want to thank the crew that was sent and want them to know how much we appreciate them! Much love from Lakeland, FL!

Brenda Turner So today is my first time venturing out beyond my yard after the hurricane and I see power trucks and workers at the end of my street. So I stop in Racetrak to buy a few drinks for them. While delivering them I discover the electricity crew is from my home area in Greenville, North Carolina. Made me tear up to shake their hands and thank them for coming. One guy said it took them 22 hours just to get here. That's normally a 9-10 hour drive. Thank you Greenville Utilities for your selfless work in restoring our power!
