Retiree Luncheon
Retiree Luncheon
More than 60 Greenville Utilities retirees gathered with current staff and Commissioners on June 13th to hear about some of the latest happenings at GUC. The event, last held for retirees in 2015, is a great way for retirees to stay engaged with each other and GUC.
“I always say that employees are our greatest asset but that doesn’t end when an employee retires,” said General Manager/CEO Tony Cannon. “Their knowledge of and passion for GUC continues. We like to make sure they know what’s going on (usually through the Spotlight newsletter and newsfeed) so that they know we are continuing the good work they were a part of. This gives us a chance to give them a little more information and allow them to ask questions so that they can continue to be good ambassadors for GUC in the community.”
The presentations included strategic plan update, a briefing on SafeAlign, an overview of the new Operations Center plans, and updates about upcoming Water Resources projects.
