Atomic Kids
It was all smiles on June 19th at the Atomic Kids event at Falkland Elementary School. Pitt County Family Development Corp. invited us to share in the fun of teaching the kids a little of what we do at GUC. On hand were Crystal Respess and Karen Foster (Wastewater Treatment Plant), along with Tyler Nichols and Wendy Rogers (Electric).
Fan Donation
On June 13th, Jonathan Sergeant and Seth Shoneman (Energy Services) along with Scott Mullis (Customer Relations) donated 100 box fans to the Pitt County Department of Social Services and the Pitt County Council on Aging. For more than 25 years, GUC has provided fans to be distributed to the elderly, handicapped, and qualifying families with small children. To date, GUC has donated approximately 2,600 fans to needy families in our area.
Energy Tips
Jonathan Sergeant (Energy Services) spent his lunch with a packed room on June 11th, sharing summer energy savings tips to a group of seniors who meet monthly at Immanuel Baptist Church.
