What are your favorite things about your job? The sense of team within IT and at GUC as a whole. Everyone is always ready and willing to jump in and help where needed to ensure we are all successful. What is your favorite family or holiday tradition? When I was growing up, every year at Christmas we would spend an entire Saturday at my grandparents’ house making cookies and treats. The tradition continues today with my family and now includes the next generation, my son and nephew.
Do you have a favorite family recipe? My mom’s sweet potato casserole.
What would you like us to know about your family? My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 12 years and have a seven-year-old boy, Connor. We are huge Disney fans, and I am pretty sure Connor was born with a baseball in his hand. You will find us on the ball field any chance we get. While I grew up locally in Eastern NC, my husband and his family are from Columbia, SC, giving our household a solid foundation for being the huge South Carolina Gamecock fans that we are. Anytime we can get down to see a football or baseball game it is a great weekend! We also have two fur babies: Franklin, a Lab/Retriever mix, and puppy Barkley, a Beagle/Hound mix. I am outnumbered four to one in my house, but I love them all!
Who is your hero? It is a tie between my grandmother and my mom.
Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day? One of the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs in Florida. As a child, my biggest dream was to be a mermaid.
