Jerry Adams Retires
Jerry Adams, Master Mechanic in Fleet Maintenance, has retired after 23 years with GUC. Jerry was responsible for preparing new vehicles to fit the needs of each department and crew. This included welding, fabrication, and electrical modifications such as battery tamers, pipe racks, ladder racks, safety lights (i.e., lights under and on top of the trucks and in tool bins, etc.), and wiring radios and electrical equipment. When time allowed, Jerry also assisted the other Mechanics with routine maintenance and servicing of GUC’s fleet.
“I liked that every day was different,” said Jerry. “Each department has different needs, and I enjoyed working with them on what they needed and making it happen. I’ve also seen a lot of changes here with how we outfit the vehicles, mostly related to improving the safety of our crews.”
We wish you the very best in retirement, Jerry!
