Representatives of the First Presbyterian Women were on hand to present an $8,000 check for our Neighbor to Neighbor program that helps people in Pitt County pay their heating bills in the winter. Since they started donating, this group has been responsible for contributing $382,984 to the program with GUC’s dollar-for-dollar match.
The Finance Department was recognized for earning four different honors and awards. You can read all about them here.
Commissioners voted to accept the NC Department of Environmental Quality grant of $5 Million to help rehabilitate approximately 2.5 miles of high-priority cast iron and asbestos cement water mains.
General Manager / CEO Tony Cannon presented the first draft of the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget. Details of the budget are available in the “April Board Notes.”
