Join us in congratulating these employees on their recent work anniversary milestones! 

David McKeel / 25 Years
David McKeel, Water Resources Systems Operation/Maintenance Technician IV, works on a construction crew that mostly handles water/sewer construction projects, installs new water/sewer mains, manholes, and valves, and performs maintenance on existing mains. He also hauls materials and runs equipment such excavators. “Over my 25 years here, I’ve enjoyed the people I’ve worked with and learning the different things about our water and sewer systems,” said David.








Wayne Wilson / 25 Years

Water Resources Systems Operations/Maintenance Supervisor Wayne Wilson supervises crews that maintain GUC’s sewer system. They handle inspections and maintenance on different parts of the system such as force mains, air release valves, and grease traps for restaurants. The crews also clean sewer mains and run the TV truck for sewer main inspections. In addition, his crews are responsible for maintaining the sewer easements as well as stopping any unwanted inflow into manholes. Wayne has worked in several different roles in Water Resources including Vac Truck Crew Leader, Heavy Construction Crew Leader, and Valve/Hydrant Crew Leader. “What I’ve enjoyed most is being able to help customers and combining knowledge from previous roles to help make the system operate as smoothly as possible,” he said.






Randy Mills / 20 Years

Underground Electric Crew Leader Randy Mills supervises the service crew that is part of the Underground Section of the Electric Department. His team installs underground electric residential service lines, troubleshoots and repairs underground service lines and secondary cables, and occasionally assists the construction crews when needed. Randy has also been on a handful of mutual aid trips where our crews assist other public utilities in power restoration after damaging weather events. “What I’ve enjoyed lately is training the younger guys - getting them started on their career path and prepared for the next level,” he said.







Eddie Baxtor / 20 Years

Since 2004, Lineworker First Class Eddie Baxtor has worked on Crew 68, which is part of the Underground Section of the Electric Department. This crew installs, services, and repairs overhead and underground lines for new and existing developments and projects, both commercial and residential. Eddie has also been on a handful of mutual aid trips where our crews assist other public utilities in power restoration after damaging weather events. He says what he's enjoyed most over the years is, “keeping everyone laughing.”

Our sympathies are extended to Meter Supervisor Holden Rouse on the passing of his father, Mr. Ned Holden Rouse.

Ellen Wilkerson called to compliment Gas Service Specialist I Carlos Crespo for providing excellent customer service while reconnecting her gas service. She stated that Carlos was nice, professional, and considerate. Overall, she was very pleased with his courtesy and work ethics. 

Natalie Gaskins sent a message complimenting Customer Contact Representative II Gretchen Maloney for assisting Ms. Gaskins with her account. “Mrs. Gretchen made my heart smile and was such a huge help,” she wrote.
