Holiday Parade

Hats off to our operating departments for continuing the tradition of decorating GUC vehicles for the Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parade – this year on December 7th. It was held at night, so the parade was filled with festive, twinkling lights. Special thanks to Electric, Gas, and Water Resources employees who decorated and operated the GUC vehicles for the parade.

Timmy Pollard, Electric Troubleshooter Crew Leader, drove the bucket truck with our GUC float while his wife, Autumn, Meter Staff Support Specialist II, and their two children rode along. Those who helped prep and decorate the truck were Electric OH Crew Leader Mike Ashley with Lineworkers Richard Gould, Cole Hartley, Hunter Forrest, and Tyler Bradshaw.

Alan Cummings, Gas Engineering Coordinator, drove the Gas Department’s CNG truck while his wife and their two children rode along. Thank you to Gas Systems Crew Leader Chris Rouse along with Gas Systems Technicians Allen Brooks, Josh Harrell, and Timothy Beddard for taking time to decorate the truck.

Thank you to Danny Lane, Water Resources Systems O/M Crew Leader, and Robert Warren, Systems O/M Technician, for decorating and driving the sewer truck.

A huge thank you to the following employees and their family members for braving the cold weather to share their holiday joy on our float this year: Enrique Benitez and Cathy McGowan with Electric, and Jessica Hardy, Tanya Brown, and Matt May with Finance. Melinda Sampson with Pub Info helped organize the parade through her involvement with the Jaycees, and Karin Fullington with Pub Info served as one of the float judges.

Thank you to these employees and their families for making us look good and spreading holiday cheer!

Holiday Luncheon

Special holiday luncheons were held on December 3rd, 4th, and 5th at Rock Springs Center.  Employees enjoyed a delicious lunch, received a special gift, and, most of all, had some quality fellowship and fun with co-workers.

Many thanks to the Human Resources Department for organizing this fun and festive event!
