Accomplishments

Congratulations to WTP Operator III Jose Ricca on his recent Grade 1 Collections Operator Certification through the NC Water Treatment Facility Operators Certification Board. To obtain this certification, employees must attend a board-approved school and pass the state exam.

Congratulations also to WTP Operation Crew Leader Brooks Nobles on his recent Grade 1 Physical/Chemical Operator Certification through the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s Board of the Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission. To obtain this certification, employees must attend a board-approved certification school and pass the state exam.

Ms. Wagner called to thank Customer Contact Representative II Jean Ricks for how she went “above and beyond” to help her have a great experience with GUC. 

Mr. Drumheller called to compliment how pleasant Customer Contact Representative II Gretchen Maloney was during their phone call and what “a great job Gretchen did to explain his bill and autopay.” 

Customer Contact Representative II Nicholas Corsaro and Electric Engineer Assistant II Brad Burroughs received a compliment from a customer who wrote that they had “been amazed with their service” and with “how responsive and easy to work with” they and all of GUC was. 

Mr. Wooten called to thank Gas Staff Support Specialist Karyn Wilson for providing “phenomenal” customer service. He said she was “knowledgeable, pleasant, and polite” and he was extremely grateful for her help. 

Mr. Elwin thanked Customer Contact Representative I Sarah Pippins for “explaining everything so well and taking the time to help.” He said, “I am so happy I got a hold of a professional customer service representative.” 

Mrs. Speight called to thank Meter Field Tech I Jonathan Flynn for helping her find a water leak. She said he was “very professional and helpful” and that she really appreciated the effort he put into providing great customer service.
