In the Boring Rig building where employees fabricate gas meter sets, it was noticed during an observation that the electrical cords were laying across the floor. This could cause a trip hazard that could lead to an injury.
The suggestion was made to install a retractable cord reel to the ceiling of the building. A reel puts the cords closer to the work area, and keeps them out of the way, eliminating the trip hazard.
