The GUC Board of Commissioners held its regular monthly meeting on May 19, 2016. Here are the highlights of that meeting:

Current Year Budget Adjustment. Each May, there is an amendment to the current budget for Operations and Capital Projects based on actual operating results for 10 months of the fiscal year. The Board voted to amend the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget which includes certain capital projects budget amendments.

Load Management Update. The Duke Energy Progress (DEP) monthly peak occurred on April 6, 2016, for the hour ending at 8:00 a.m.  GUC's load management system was in full operation during this period.  As a result, the estimated avoided demand costs amount to $1,081,588.
