The Lineworker Rodeo Teams were recognized by the Board of Commissioners at their June meeting. Commissioners also recognized GUC’s 2025 graduates of the Chamber Leadership Institute as well as the First Presbyterian Women for their contributions to the Neighbor to Neighbor program. You can find more about these in this issue of Spotlight or at spotlight.guc.com.
The Board approved GUC’s 2025-26 budget (which the Greenville City Council adopted). The budget includes fully funding the merit program and raises for employees. Inflationary pressures forced rate increases for electric, sewer, and gas customers as well as small increases on various fees. GUC’s combined rates remain among the lowest for North Carolina’s 15 largest cities.
Commissioners also approved several policy changes which clarify procedures and policies ahead of the implementation of the new HR and Finance system, ADP. Check your GUC email for details.
This was Board Chair Lindsey Griffin’s last meeting as a Commissioner. He has served two full terms (six years), and GUC is grateful for his service.
