Brian Murray / 30 Years

Brian Murray recently celebrated 30 years with Greenville Utilities. Brian is an Equipment Operator IV in Water Resources and does medium to heavy construction work on both water and sewer mains. He also works on main installations and repairs. Brian also represents GUC in the Backhoe Rodeo competition each year. "I thank God for the folks I've worked with and for Greenville Utilities," said Brian. "I work with a bunch of good guys." He and his wife Robin have three children: Marcus, Natasha, and Kendall. In his free time, Brian likes to fish and race remote control boats.

Congratulations to ROBERT VEALE, Water Resources Instrument Technician, on passing the exam for his A Surface certification from the NC Water Treatment Facility Operators Certification Board.

Ms. Higgins called to compliment Robert Foreman, Tree Trimmer Crew Leader, and William Morning, Gas Systems Crew Leader, for their assistance in resolving a natural gas leak at her home. She indicated they provided some of the best customer service that she has ever experienced. She said they were "awesome guys" and provided extraordinary customer service.

Kristen Braxton emailed Colleen Sicley, Customer Service Supervisor, about how easy it was to pay her bill using the new online system. "I just wanted to say that I really like your updated website. I just paid my bill online for the first time since the updated website, and it is very user friendly," she said.

Rachel Roper sent a thank you email to Jim Rapin, Energy Services Officer. "Thanks so much for coming to evaluate my heating, air-conditioning, water heater, and stove," she wrote. "I really appreciate your information, advice, and costs of all the variables. It is so wonderful that Greenville Utilities offers this great service to the community. You saved me lots of time and helped me pick an energy efficient, sensible, appropriate choice."

Alston Wilson, Transition Coordinator with Trillium Health Resources, sent an email praising Keisha Pierce, Customer Contact Representative, for her help during a recent phone call. "Somehow we were disconnected in the middle of the conversation which, as you can imagine, was frustrating. Not only was Keshia very helpful before we were disconnected, but she went above and beyond by reaching out to me via email to make sure I knew she was still willing to assist me," she wrote.  "To me, it is important to recognize such individuals that are willing to assist in the way that your folks did. I look forward to working with your staff in the future."

Jeremiah Washington from Wells Fargo sent a complimentary email to Linda Clark, Communications Specialist, for helping him with his account. "Your expeditious response to all my emails has been greatly appreciated, and whatever they pay you is not enough. May the rest of your day be showered with blessings and good fortune," he said.
