Tropical Storm Hermine breezed through Eastern North Carolina on September 2-3, 2016. Fortunately, GUC experienced just a few outages and we were able to test new systems like Work and Asset Management (WAM) and Responder, our outage management system, in a real-life storm situation on a small scale.

"Hermine was the first major weather event we have had since going live with Responder and WAM," said Kyle Brown, Planning Engineer. "All systems performed as expected and contributed to our ability to quickly respond to customer calls and restore power."
