Flood waters failed to damper the spirits of GUC's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) employees who pulled together and provided a spooky and spectacular educational experience for kids of all ages.

"This was actually a great teambuilding exercise," said Jo Ellen Gay, Environmental Compliance Coordinator. "I enjoyed how we worked together on this and how the creative juices flowed to make the tours as interesting as possible."

The event included a full tour of the WWTP along with interactive scientific lessons for children, such as visiting the "Mad Scientist's Lab" where they learned about microorganisms used to treat wastewater.

"This was our first year and we look forward to building upon the tour each year," said JoEllen.
