Freeboot Friday

Greenville Utilities once again participated in Freeboot Friday, this time with country music sensation Parmelee. Bucket trucks along with a booth full of GUC branded giveaways were set up for people of all ages to enjoy. Because of the larger-than-normal crowd that came out to see the band, more GUC hands were needed. A big thank you to the following: Electric Lineworkers Tracy Elks, Earl Harris, Ervin Hardee, Calvin Whitehead, and Zachary Kruger, along with Tracy Hodges (Electric), Jay little (IT), Lee Eakes (Customer Relations), Sandy Woolard (Customer Relations), Kendra Fields (Customer Relations), Emily Cruse (Customer Relations), Anna Hinton (Customer Relations), Denine Hardee (Customer Relations), John Britt (Garage), Simon Stroud (Garage), Emily Garner (Public Information), Erin Walton (Public Information), Karin Fullington (Public Information), and Aalyha Giles (Public Information).

Preparedness & Safety Fair

Greenville Utilities attended the Preparedness and Safety Fair hosted by the Pitt County Health Department at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store on 10th Street. The event occurred on Saturday, September 22nd, which was one week after Hurricane Florence paid us a visit. The fair allowed people of the community to talk to first responders as well as other professionals, learn emergency preparedness and safety, and view different equipment often used in emergency situations. Thank you to Emily Garner (Public Information) for representing us.
