August 2019: In The Community
ECU Merchant Fair
GUC went back to school on August 21st – with the ECU Pirates! We joined with other community businesses and organizations to share information with students, faculty, and staff at the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Merchant Fair. Huge thanks goes out to Kevin Lockamy and Kenny McDonald (Garage); Brian Weigand (Finance); and Erin Walton (Public Information) for making our booth a success.
National Night Out
Greenville Utilities was one of the many participants in the Greenville Police Department’s National Night Out event, which takes place with police departments around the country on the same evening. This year it was held on August 6th. Bucket trucks and games were set up for people of all ages to enjoy. Thank you to Tracy Elks, Earl Harris, Joey Dash, and Bryson Hall (Electric) for setting up and running the bucket trucks. Thank you also to Kendra Fields (Customer Relations); and Lena Previll (HR); as well as Erin Walton, and Emily Garner (Public Information) for helping out during the event.
Energy Tips
Jonathan Sergeant (Energy Services) had a great time discussing energy saving tips with Anderson Chapel members on August 7th.
