MyGUC Gets a Makeover
GUC’s Intranet, MyGUC, has been running on SharePoint version 2010 for eight years. In 2019, Microsoft announced the end of life for SharePoint 2010 and support for its server operating system. So what’s next for document sharing, announcements, and all things MyGUC? A more robust SharePoint within Office 365, and much more! In fact, there are so many new tools coming down the pipeline, that we have broken this topic into a monthly series that will showcase the various components of the new system. This month, we focus on the renovated MyGUC.
On May 4th, the upgrade was completed for MyGUC’s new look and feel with much more functionality through Office 365. Hopefully by now you’ve had a chance to browse through the various features, or watch the tutorial our Training Office put together, which can be found by clicking here: https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/b448481c-1109-4f44-86b4-dcacba86e207.
To access MyGUC, you can use your employee login credentials at either office.com or at guco.guc.com. The site still contains valuable links such as MyHR, Safety Portal, Departments, and Corporate KPIs, to name a few.
“We feel like the transition has gone well with very few issues,” said IT Systems Analyst Aaron Johnson.
