Service Awards

Allen Lyles / 25 Years
Allen Lyles recently celebrated 25 years of service with Greenville Utilities. He works in the Electric Department’s Meter Section, which is responsible for approximately 134,472 electric, water, and gas meters on our system. As a Meter Supervisor, Allen oversees the Meter Service Section that includes Meter Technicians who are responsible for the 24/7 call rotation and for completing all service-related orders. Allen works closely with our Revenue Protection staff on connections and disconnections, which also involves accurate close-out or start-up readings. "I enjoy the challenge of safely and promptly responding to all internal and external customers. Microsoft Teams has been vital in assisting our Meter Service Section with these goals. I look forward to future changes that will benefit our employees and customers. I also enjoy working with all GUC employees and am very proud of the way our Meter Technicians and GUC personnel in all departments have consistently provided excellent service to our customers in a professional manner, no matter the circumstance.”
