Five classes of iLead alumni came together as one group for the first time on August 30th to celebrate five years of the program with a luncheon and a half-day workshop presented by Pam Pippin, of Pippin Resource Group. Pam is a certified facilitator of The Third Option by Miles McPherson.   

iLead is our internal leadership, education, and development program that was designed to help employees prepare for leadership positions within GUC. The program started in 2016, but we have had just five classes of graduates due to the class of 2020 being postponed to 2022 because of the pandemic. The program has produced 82 graduates, with 70 still employed with GUC. Out of those 70 graduates, 30 have been promoted.

“Former iLead graduates have been asking for us to bring everyone together for developmental training,” said Carrie Peed, Organizational Development and Training Manager. “The Third Option was a great choice for us to offer a different take on diversity conversations by focusing on our similarities. 

Upcoming iLead Class
The next iLead program will start in spring, 2024. For those interested, informational sessions about the program, the time commitment, and the application process will be held in December or January. Be on the lookout for details on those sessions.
