Accountant/Auditor IV Margie Taylor has retired with almost 26 years of service with GUC’s Finance Department. Margie was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting issues. She also completed sales tax reports and various reports and surveys for state and federal agencies.  

In addition, Margie assisted the Chief Financial Officer with debt issuance and disclosure reporting, which is required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission when we issue revenue bonds that finance our capital projects.  

“I have honestly loved the work that I do here,” said Margie. “I know everyone says this, but I have enjoyed the people, as well. We have a fun and wonderful group. It’s been a good run for me here.” 

Margie and her husband, John, have four adult children and one grandson. In her new spare time, Margie will enjoy her family and reading novels. “I look forward to doing whatever I want without deadlines and alarms,” she said.
