Inside HR: New Leader Orientation
To continue serving our leaders and setting them up for success in their roles, our Human Resources team is continuing its New Leader Orientation training.
New Leader Orientation is a required, three-hour session for new leaders that focuses on items that they will most likely need or may encounter in their role. The training topics include:
- Friends & Leaders (i.e. transitioning from individual contributor to leader),
- EBS, Taleo, FMLA/ADA Overview, Performance Reviews, Performance Management, and Documentation,
- Leader Responsibilities with Onboarding and Offboarding Employees, and
- Overtime and Comp Time Basics.
New Leader Orientation is offered the second Wednesday of every month from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. in Conference Room 1 of the Engineering Building. The HR team enrolls all new leaders in the first available session after their promotion/hire date, helping to ensure new leaders receive the training within their first 30 days in the new role. In addition, the HR team also conducts Interview Panel Training with new leaders.
