ECU Kids Zone
As part of our “Powering the Pirates” partnership with ECU Athletics, GUC is a sponsor of the Kids Zone at ECU home football games. The Kids Zone is an area inside the stadium, close to Gate 2, where children can play various games. GUC employees staff a table in the Zone, handing out GUC-branded giveaways and talking with families. Thank you to Amanda Wall (Finance) and Steve Hawley (Pub Info) for representing us at the final two home games in November to finish up the season. 

ECU Meet the Recruiters 
ECU Career Services held a “Meet the Recruiter” event on November 7th at the ECU Student Center. Thank you to Leah Herring and Tracy Williams with HR for meeting with students and sharing information on careers with GUC.  

ECU Off-Campus Housing
Emily Smith and Danesha Williams (Customer Relations), alongside Emily Garner (Pub Info), shared GUC information with ECU students at the Off-Campus Housing Fair on November 13th. This annual event is designed to provide information to students who are getting ready to move off campus for the first time. Our participation in this event is part of an overall campaign to inform students about GUC's online services.

Eastern Elementary Touch-a-Truck and Career Fair
Matt McLawhorn and Oscar Meeks (Electric) represented Greenville Utilities on November 22nd at Eastern Elementary’s Touch-a-Truck Career Fair by showcasing one of our bucket trucks to K-2nd grade students. Deanna Castellow (Water Resources) and Melinda Sampson (Pub Info) were on hand for the school’s career fair on November 25th for 3rd-5th grade students.
