In February, the Gas Department restructured its department’s organization to facilitate a more streamlined workflow and foster a more cohesive team environment.
Under the new structure, duties for Gas Distribution Engineer Carl Smith and Gas Systems Engineer Dillon Wade have shifted slightly.
Carl now handles all the above-ground gas facilities, including CNG, LNG, industrial customer meter services, and utility locating, as well as code compliance.
Dillon’s duties have shifted to include management of all the below ground gas systems, including service work, valve monitoring, and construction.
“This is similar to what it was before, but creates a more efficient process,” Dillon said.
