"This is truly the type of Safe Digging Partner that NC811 is looking for," said Ann Rushing, Education Manager for NC811. "The commitment to making the call to 811, waiting the required time, respecting the marks, and digging safely is very important."

GUC's Director of Electric Systems, Roger Jones, shared his enthusiasm as well.

"Greenville Utilities is excited to partner with NC811 to show our commitment to safety in the utility construction Industry," said Roger. "We strive to be a safety conscious organization, and the Safe Digging Partner decals will be placed on our vehicles and equipment to show our commitment to safety."

NC811 began a Safe Digging Partner program in April of 2015.  The program signifies a commitment to help prevent damages to buried utilities. Each month, NC811 chooses a Safe Digging Partner that exemplifies this commitment and will spotlight them with recognition.NC811 will provide safe digging partner stickers to place on vehicles and equipment in order to spread the 811 message to the public.
