Quentin Corey Retires

Quentin Corey Retires

July 29, 2019

Quentin Corey, Safety Specialist I, recently retired after 20 years of service with Greenville Utilities. Quentin was introduced to GUC during a college class field trip to our Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in the late 1990s. It was during that visit when he decided that he wanted to join the GUC team. Before his current position, he was an Operator III at the WWTP, which is where his love for safety emerged.

As the Safety Specialist, Quentin ensured that safety equipment was up-to date, that all employees had access to training classes, and that safety remained a top priority for all crews going out on a job. What he enjoyed most was doing something new every day. “I got to learn new things and actually go out and try something new each day,” he said.

Quentin is a car fan, especially antique and remote-control cars. In retirement, he plans to work on his cars and enjoy more time with his wife Crystal, and their children, Christian and DJ.
