Anita Cochran / 25 years

Anita Cochran recently celebrated 25 years of service here at Greenville Utilities. As a Revenue Protection Specialist, Anita collects revenue and bad debt along with other employees in the Credit Revenue Protection Department. She also investigates reports of meter tampering and goes to criminal court for metering tampering and utility theft, as well as worthless check cases. Anita has been teaching the very popular customer service class, "Meter Tampering," the last few years. In addition, she's also been working with the Navigate Team. She is married to Todd and they have three children, Ethan, Grace and Gibbs. In her free time, Anita enjoys attending her children's sporting events.

Please remember that in order to add dependents to your insurance or make changes as a result of a life event, you must inform HR within 30 days of event. Proof of the change will be required (i.e. marriage license, birth certificate). If you don't notify HR within 30 days, you will have to wait until the next annual open enrollment period to make benefit changes, unless you have another life event.

Life events include:

  • Marriage
  • Divorce, legal separation, or annulment
  • Birth or adoption of child
  • A change in work schedule or status that causes you to
    gain or lose eligibility

Kate Teel, Director of Member Relations and Programs for the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce, wrote a thank you note to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Staff. "Thank you so much for hosting our Leadership group for the Business and Industry session," Ms. Teel wrote. "I heard so much feedback from our group on how much they loved the tour! We really appreciate all GUC does for our community, and the Chamber of Commerce."

Julia Cavalier with the NC Department of Environmental Quality sent a thank you note to Public Information Specialist Emily Barnes regarding a crisis communications seminar Emily did for a water treatment operator certification school. "One of our regional supervisors was there and said it was one of the best seminars he'd been to in a couple of years and that the topics were really what the operators needed to know," wrote Julia.
