Chamber Leadership (pictured above)

Dail Booth, Water Treatment Plant Operations Coordinator, and Alan Cummings, Gas Engineering Assistant, recently graduated from the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute. Over the course of eight months, they learned about issues facing our community, developed skills needed to enhance leadership strengths, and learned how to become involved in leadership roles in our community. Alan is pictured front left, and Dail is pictured front center.

Chamber Expo

Greenville Utilities was one of many companies who attended the 2019 Pitt County Business Expo. Hosted at the Greenville Convention Center on May 16-17, thousands of people were able to attend the Expo to learn about local businesses and organizations. Thank you to Dail Booth (Water Treatment Plant), Angie Fuller (Human Resources), Lou Norris (General Manager’s Office), Durk Tyson (Gas), and Brandie Whitehurst (Finance) for helping out with the GUC booth.

Kid’s River Fest

Approximately 1,500 children and adults enjoyed a bird’s-eye view of the Sound River Kid’s Fest at River Park North on May 18th. Underground Lineworker Travis Ransom and Overhead Lineworker Matthew Craft wowed participants with bucket truck rides. Other activities at the event included kayaking, fishing, and hands-on science exhibits.
