Employees were treated to biscuits at one of two meetings at Rock Springs Center on April 13th for an update on our Corporate Safety Initiative (CSI). Your feedback was used to make changes and it’s time to get every employee’s input again. We will be doing another Organizational Cultural Diagnostic Instrument (OCDI) survey in May. It will be in your GUC email inbox and take about 45 minutes to complete.

This anonymous survey is critical in helping us identify behaviors within our organization that lead to positive safety outcomes that we need to repeat and reinforce. It also helps us identify indicators that can predict if we are likely to have more or fewer incidents where someone gets hurt, as well as if we need to do something to change the culture or attitudes and behaviors about safety.

Additional updates were provided during the breakfast as well. Assistant General Manager/Chief Administrative Officer Chris Padgett provided an overview of the CSI governance structure. Operations Support Manager Kevin Keyzer reminded us of the new GUC Safety and Mission Statements. Safety Culture Specialist Kelly Smith shared information about enhancements made to reinforce the Lighthouse process.
