We do all we can to provide exceptional service for our customers, and we go above and beyond in many ways, every single day. It's nice to get a pat on the back for that outstanding work! For the twelfth consecutive year, we recently received Awards of Excellence in the following five categories from ElectriCities of North Carolina:

Five Electricities Awards of Excellence presented to GUC

Competitive Business Environment - for initiatives in economic development and industrial recruitment;

Energy Efficiency - recognizes efforts with energy-efficient building programs, energy education, energy audits and participation in NC Green Power;

Financial Stability - for outstanding financial management, and services that meet customers' individual needs such as AutoPay bank draft, Budget Billing Plan and a full-service website with online payment options, as well as programs like Neighbor to Neighbor that provide assistance to low-income households;

Legislative Involvement - recognizes involvement in legislative issues related to public power, natural gas, water and wastewater; and

Service Excellence - for outstanding customer communications.

ElectriCities is an organization that represents cities, towns and universities that own their electric distribution systems. Greenville Utilities is a member of ElectriCities, along with more than 90 other members in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
