Service Awards

Tonya Roebuck / 25 Years
Customer Contact Representative II (CCR) Tonya Roebuck recently celebrated 25 years of service with GUC. She began her career as a receptionist and moved to her CCR position in 1998. The majority of the time you’ll find her working with building contractors, GUC engineers, and walk-in customers (over the phone during the pandemic). She also serves as back-up when the Call Center experiences high call volumes. “The favorite part of my job has been helping customers,” she said. “Every day is different and every customer is different. I miss seeing our customers in person right now, but connecting with them over the phone has been great, too. I also have outstanding co-workers.”

Chris Evans / 20 Years
Assistant Stores Manager Chris Evans celebrated 20 years of service with GUC. Chris oversees inventory transactions, maintains and orders most of the small hand tools, as well as safety-related items like hard hats, rubber safety gear, cones, etc., and coordinates with vendors on the repair and replacement of battery-operated and mechanical tools. “I really appreciate the opportunities and positions that I have had the privilege to serve in at GUC,” said Chris, “but the people I have had the opportunity to work with throughout the years have been the highlight of my time at GUC. I appreciate each and every one of you and the role you play to make our organization successful!”

Mike Adams / 20 Years

Mike Adams, Fleet Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, has recently celebrated 20 years with GUC. Mike oversees the daily operations of the shop and the Master Mechanics. Our Garage has a staff of Master Mechanics with over 75 years of combined experience and factory training in the field of automotive and diesel diagnostics and repair. Mike and his team are responsible for the routine maintenance and servicing of GUC’s fleet of approximately 270 vehicles and 283 pieces of equipment, which also includes “in servicing” of new vehicles and equipment (logo decals, safety outfitting, etc.). His team works well together in not only taking care of the daily needs of our growing fleet, but to assist crews with unforeseen issues that arise when out in the field or on out-of-town emergency mutual aid events. Like our crews, Mechanics also get the occasional after-hours call. “I enjoy the comradery we have at the garage and how well we all work through things together,” said Mike. “And I’ve enjoyed getting to know employees over the years as they come through the garage.”
